Project Overview:
One of the first large-scale projects undertaken by JME Energy Ltd was the conversion of an old Lloyds Bank into a multi-functional space, including beauty therapy and treatment rooms, rented spaces, a hairdresser’s studio, and a coffee shop upstairs. This complex project required meticulous planning and execution, leveraging both our technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
Technical Details:
Three-Phase Supply Connection: The project involved connecting to a three-phase supply, installing two three-phase distribution boards, and one single-phase board. This setup was crucial to meet the diverse electrical demands of the various spaces.
Vault Challenges: The initial challenges were in the old bank vault, where the reinforced walls required careful handling. The cable runs were long and complex, necessitating the use of cable tray management and support systems to ensure safe and efficient wiring.
Basement Configuration: The basement was transformed into treatment rooms, a toilet, and a kitchenette. Throughout these areas, we installed spotlights and small power outlets. Communal area spotlights were controlled by PIR sensors, and emergency lighting was installed for safety.
Upper Floor Design: The upper floor featured a large open space with additional treatment rooms, a coffee shop, and a hairdresser’s studio. The 12-foot high ceilings required safety access equipment for installation. The hair studio’s lighting needed to be bright, symmetrical, and precisely placed, along with decorative LED strip lighting to highlight specific features.
Outcome:
The project spanned over six months and was delivered on time, showcasing our commitment to excellence. The transformation of the old bank into a vibrant and functional space was completed to the client’s satisfaction.
